Scuba Diving around Phuket

Phuket is a great place for Scuba Diving and snorkeling, from Karon rock then on to Phi Phi Island ,there are no shortages of great dive sites to choose from.

High season of course requires a few extra Baht in the pocket, however,if you know the right people here, there are deals to be done, even in high season.

I highly recommend dive sites like Kho Doc Mai, as featured above there are some very interesting friends waiting for us at about 18mtrs of depth,of course the diving here caters for all types of divers,from experienced to beginner, no matter what your skill level there are PADI Courses and many instructors that offer various skill level courses to suit most needs.

Phi Phi Island for instance is renowned for its pristine waters and also the abundance of marine life, it also caters for a wide variety of dive trips, for example you can take the early ferry service from Phuket town and arrive for a leisurely 2 dive trip that starts about 1030 am and back in time for the afternoon ferry back,alternatively I would recommend an over-nite stay at one of the islands many hotels, these range in style from backpacker through to 5 star, of course you could stay where the action is right in the heart of the pier area and chance yourself at Muay Thai boxing in a well known bar, and pit your skills against like individuals for the chance to win a bucket of, well,  whatever you want.

of course as with most dive sites the conditions can change rapidly, but most of the diving i have experienced across this area has been of good quality with reasonable visibility and a good mix of coral and marine life.
