Do I have to leave my physical passport as a deposit? +
No! Strictly **we DO NOT hold original Passports**. We understand your passport is your most critical travel document. We only require a photocopy of your passport and your driver's license, alongside a refundable security bond.
How much is the security deposit and is it fully refunded? +
The security bond is 3,000 Thai Baht (or equivalent $100 USD) for models under 300cc, and 10,000 Thai Baht (or equivalent $300 USD) for premium models 300cc and above. It is returned to you in full as soon as the scooter is returned in the same condition as when it was hired.
Do I need a driver's license to hire a scooter? +
Yes. You must possess a valid driver's license from your home country, and to comply with local Thai laws and insurance requirements, an International Driving Permit (IDP) with motorcycle endorsement is highly recommended.
What happens if the scooter is damaged? +
If minor accidents occur, we assess the cost of replacement body parts transparently using genuine Honda/Yamaha dealer invoices. We only charge standard workshop repair costs and do not inflate damages. Taking photos at pick-up secures your transparency.
Do you provide riding lessons? +
No. Phuket's mountainous terrain and high traffic volumes require existing riding competence. For your own safety, **you must be experienced in riding** to hire a scooter. We reserve the right to decline rental if we assess safety concerns during checkout.
